Friday night John and I went out with Tristan and Ashley. We went out to eat at Ruby Tuesday's and then to see Resident Evil: Apocalypse. It was a good movie, except for the fact that it didn't follow the games that it was supposedly based on at all. At the movies we ran into Resha, JJ, Laura, and Liz who all joined us and Susan and Greg met us there too. We had quite the crowd, but I still felt like some people were uncomfortable or perhaps a bit moody around the others. Aside from that, it was a great night and it was a lot of fun just hanging out with everyone.

On Saturday, we had originally planned on going ice-skating, a plan which fell through, and then after that idea was out the window no one seemed to be able to decide on what to do. So, it wound up that John and I went with Ashley and Tristan to Celebration Station in Pineville. It was a lot of fun. We played 18 holes of mini-golf, and Ashley and I had the highest scores. They went like this:

Me: 61
Ashley: 59
John: 71
Tristan: 63

It was cool, except for hole #17 (I hate that hole), which it took me like 10-12 strokes on. After golf, we all played lots of games in the arcade. John was the only one to play DDR. There was no way I was going to let him get me on that! We all just watched him a few times. Then we played some more games to get tickets, and John won this little thingy with magnetic stars and moons and a little bouncy-ball with a smiley face on it. It was so sweet of him to try and win me something. I love you, John!

Well, anyways, I need to get going. I work later today, and am in bad need of sleep. I'm in luck, though, I have Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday off! Yippy! Well, for now, goodnight and blessed be!

It looks like it's time for Plan C...

"Plan C?! W.T.F! What happened to Plan A, or B for that matter?!"
"Eh. They were both bad ideas anyway, so we'll just skip them."

Today's Mission...Failed...

Ok, on with business. Life's been, well blah. Work, no money, and bad weather are never good. It seems that this morning we started to feel the effects of Hurricane Francis in our area, and oh what fun that is. They announced tornado warnings all across the upstate that are in effect until sometime later tonight, but as of yet there haven't really been any strong winds. For the most part the hurricane is just dumping a lot of rain on the area. Other than the lovely weather, I just sent for my money order to pay for my speeding ticket, so that's where the having no money thing comes from. More fun. Then there's work tomorrow, and hopefully the bad weather has moved out by then because I really don't want to drive in it, and then I work again on Thursday. Oh, what fun! Friday will be nice though. We're planning to go see the new Resident Evil movie in theaters, and I think Ashley and Tristan are coming too. Yippy! I haven't had a chance to see or hang out with them in a while, so that will be nice.

Other than that fun, there's not a lot left to report. I've been feeling a bit unproductive lately (if that's the word), so early today I opened up one of my stories and just started typing. I've actually made a good bit of progress since I've been working on it today. Mew. I'd planned to play some of Star Ocean 3 while John was at the dentist, but it doesn't look like that's going to happen. Ah, anyway, if you own a PS2, go buy that game. It rocks! Well, I got to go. Til next time, blessed be!

Happy Jewish New Year's

Well, who would've though that today was so special? Not me, but it is. Today is Jewish New Year's. To me, however, it was a day like any other...well, almost. I didn't actually go to sleep til 8-ish in the morning. Emily stayed over last night and this morning John got up and drove her to York to serve her wonderful jury duty. By the time John got home from dropping her off, I was already sound asleep. I slept so good that I didn't wake back up til about 3pm when Emily called from the Cotton Gin Tavern saying that she was done for the day and needed a ride back. So then I drag my dead body out of bed, pull the first clothes I find on, and poke the John until it starts making noise. Then the two of us drove to downtown York, parked the car, and walked up the street to the Cotton Gin Tavern where we found Emily lost in a book and a plate of cheese fries.

The afternoon following was slow but peaceful. Emily napped while John and I played through some of Silent Hill 3 (a very cool serious that everyone should play if you ahven't already). That night Emily and John drove to Rock Hill without me since I wasn't feeling well. While they were gone I got proposed to (ah, what fun) and joined a new LS in FFXI, helped my mom make this oreo dessert thing, and played some Jak & Daxter...more fun. Finally, at like 11pm, John and Emily got home with the food and a small gift for me. They got me a bag of my favorite candies (Rasinettes) and a new year's card. "Happy Jewish New Year's" John and Emily are so sweet and good to me. What would I ever do without you guys?! I love you both!

But, ah, it's late and I think John and I are going to go escape to Silent Hill for a bit before bed. So, with that said, goodnight and blessed be!

You're kidding right?

Well today was slow. I slept much later than I had originally planned on. I really hate myself when I do that. Then, sometime after lunch, I went to the bank and cashed my check (none of which I get to keep thanks to that god-awful speeding ticket I landed myself with). Tomorrow I'd actually like to get up early and go to Summerfest with Emily, but I don't know if I'll be able to talk John into going with us. Mew.

Well, other than the non-eventful and slow day, there's nothing else to report. I can, however, saw that sometime soon I'll be posting "Adventures with EB Man", a short commercial that my co-workers put together for this year's vendor show. It's hilarious and you all must see it! Anyways, that's it for now. Ok, well first off, the other night when Emily got home she told us that she had seen a strange guy in our yard at the side of the house. Well, this kind of creeped her out because she didn't know who it was and he ran off when he saw Emily. So, tonight when I get home John happens to show me this ID that my Dad found in our yard while mowing grass, and then we got to thinking. It seems that this person was trying to break into our house using his driver's license of all things and carelessly dropped at while trying to make his escape. Now, however, he'll get to pay for his stupidity. Today my Dad is going to call the cops and give them this guy's ID. All I have to say is, "What a dumbass."

Other than that not a lot else of interest hs really happened. I got home from work last night and John and I played some FFXI and talked to Emily about the stranger. We had some laughs, and then at like 3 am Justin called with some "hypothetical" questions. That's about all for now. I'll try to post some more later. Blessed be!

Nice, but it's not coming out of my hair...

Today's Quote: "I found a way to use my Steno Pad; just ignore the line."

Ah, today's fun went something like this:

1. Get up later than normal
2. Get ready for work
3. Go to work and be bored
4. Talk to Josh Resha
5. Come home
6. Play FFXI
7. Later joined by Justin
8. Emily arrives with silly string, balloons, and beads
9. Pass out the party favors
10. Five minutes later throw around a ball of silly string and start pulling it out of each other's hair

Ah, the fun never ends at the home for "homeless gamers." We are quite a bunch when we get together like that over here, and sometimes you never know just what to expect. Overall, it was a very interesting and fun time. There was lots of cleaning that had to be done after the whole silly string fight, but at least Albert didn't wake up and yell. So, thanks a lot Emily for buying the great party favors, it was a blast! Everyone should have been here for that one, but in case you missed it we took some pics and will try to post them later on. Well, that's it for now. He is a very dear friend to me, and like my other friends he has always been there for me whenever I have needed someone. These are the type of people I chose to share my time, thoughts, and feelings with. These are people that I can trust, people that have faith in me, and people that can be trusted in return. Don't get me wrong, I'm not saying that these people have never made mistakes. Everyone makes mistakes, but it is the steps made to correct those mistakes that makes all the difference. In my life I've encountered many people some of which I can count on to be true friends and some that fall short of that. I'm only human, constantly growing and changing as a person, and I can't be expected to still have the same friends at the end of life that I did as a youth. A few may remain through the years, but most will have vanished, concerning themselves with other people and things. This is just the nature of friendships, and while it may seem sad, it should be accepted. Well, that's all for now. Good night, and blessed be!

Would you like some cheese with that whine?

Quote of the day: "I'm feel like I'm being used."

Ok, Ryan, fuck you! Susan, I don't care what you think about me, but you're not part of this. Fuck you, Ryan. First off, your ranting about me makes it sound a lot like you are jealous of, not me, but me having my other friends over here and not inviting you. "It is so hard for us to have any type of get together at anyone else's house. You don't mind having Emily there or John and Justin there." See, this just strengthens that point. You are mad at me for having Emily, and Justin, and John at my house and never inviting you to do anything with us. I don't invite you over because personally I feel that you wouldn't enjoy the things we'd do, and also I know for a fact that my friends do not enjoy your company. Sorry, Ryan, but you just whine way too much. *offers Ryan cheese* You can stick with your friends and I'll stick with mine. I love them all and would do anything for them. Sorry, Ryan, but I can't even trust you, so helping you in any way, shape, or form is just out of the question. You've sold me out every chance you've had. So, tell me, do friends deserve that? You've proven to me that you are not even one worthy of my time. Good luck at Lander, you dumb-fuck!

P.S. Susan, I know that you typically side with Ryan, but please remember that none of this has anything to do with you. Don't yell at me about or I'll take an even longer break between updates! Anyways, not a lot has been happening around here that needed to be blogged about anyway (and the stuff that did was covered by Emily). So there. Anyway, I'm a bit ticked off right now. I was just planning to go on a nice little drive with John and Emily, and then Ryan IM's me. Urgh! I'm getting sick of this really. They push me to throw another little party/get together at my house, which I was completely against at first, but I then made time for in my schedule. Then, after all that I did to try and arrange something for everyone, Ryan and Susan make plans and will now not be attending. So, is this what friends are for?

Anyway, on a happier note, tomorrow, Friday 13th of all days, is mine and John's three month anniversary. So, it seems something good can come of all the bad. Hopefully tomorrow will be a nice, relaxing, carefree night. We're planning to go out for a nice dinner and then to see the new movie AVP in theaters. Mmmm....
Anyways, it's late and I've got places to be. I grew up in one of those little towns that most people don't even know exists. My mother died when I was very young, and I've never known my father. So, for the past decade, I've been living with my foster family in Madison, just another small town. To get there, just head to nowhere and take a left. At least that's the joke I'd always tell my friends about where I live. In all honesty, I've never been very impressed with the place. Madison doesn't really offer anyone a whole lot in the way of entertainment. The Goths had their cemeteries, the rednecks had their mud-pits, and the bookworms had their libraries. But what was I left with?

I bided my time, reading the old scriptures and not really understanding them, making up stories of the old-world to fill in the gaps, and acting out the tales in my mind. Some would call me creative, while others would insist I was crazy. I could never explain my desires to study the old texts in any other way than to say that I could simply relate to them. The scriptures that I devoted the majority of my time to were the Prophecies of the Great Genycias, and I focused particularly on the Book of Edisyus.

I was deeply interested in the tales of Edisyus because of what I'd come to be called. It was hard for me to understand how anyone could, in any way, compare me to a figure of fiction. Edisyus was a man of myth, the prophecies a work of fiction. I could never believe that such an individual had actually existed, had once walked among us. Even as a youth I had found it difficult to believe that some superior being had created the universe and everything in it only to abandon it once he was finished. It seemed absurd, and any organized religion that worshipped such a being seemed like an utter waste.

My foster parents were both Presbyterian, and luckily for me they'd never tried to force me to conform to their beliefs. I can only imagine the agony of having to follow such a religion. I mean I'm not a bad person who burns crucifixes and breaks into churches in my free time. It's just that I flat-out don't believe in it. I'd like to be able to be comforted by the idea that there's someone out there watching over us, but it's just not so. I fear that I will forever be this way, a non-believer cowering in the shadows.

The Final Hour: Awaking Into Darkness

I awoke on the floor, still groggy and very much alone. The world around me was gray, bathed in a faint light that shone down through a dusty pane of glass set in the ceiling above. All around where I had lain there were wooden crates of all shapes and sizes, and at least an inch of dust and dirt had settled on top of each. It appeared as if nothing had been touched in several years.

I pushed myself up off the floor and made my way over to one of the crates, leaving a trail of footprints in the dust on the floor as I went. I took a moment to study the crate, brushing much of the dust off the top so that I could read the label. I then read the red, printed text that had been previously concealed by the dust. Property of the Nexus Gate System - HQ596.

Curious, I brushed the dust off several of the other crates and read their labels as well. They were all the same, with the exception of a few crates that had been stacked over in one corner that bore different HQ numbers. This puzzled me, as I had never before heard of the Nexus Gate, and I had no idea what the crates might have contained. I wasn't even sure that I wanted to know. Whatever the answers, they were best left buried beneath the dust where I had found them.

Begin Temple Script

if ( OnDeath == 1 )
if ( GetJournalIndex "WorldOfHelvete" <= 34 )
Journal WorldOfHelvete 35
endif
endif

Well, today has been interesting. The past few days have been actually. The party was great fun, and so was the day of relaxation to follow. Time off is always nice, but I really do need more hours at work. It makes me sad that I don't get as many at EB as I used to. The lack of hours also means that now I may have to take on a second job, which kind of sucks. That means much less free time, and not nearly as much time with John. {tear} Argh. Oh well, it must be done if I ever want to get my car fixed and move out. I'm also probably going to have to pay for some of my tuition this fall which is going to cut deeply into my funds (what few there are).

Anyway, enough of that. Tonight has been good. John and I got some levels in FFXI and now I can wear my new gear. Tomorrow, however, it's back to doing those not-so-fun quests to make back all the gil I've spent just getting my gear. Mew, but anyway, I need to get going. Have to get up early and take John to Rock Hill. I'll update more later. I could be wrong about who I think he is referring to, but based on the little list he made about inappropriate times to make out, I feel pretty confident in my guess. Ok, i somewhat agree with him. Finding a dark corner or room to yourself and your significant other when you're around a large group of people is rude. This is the main reason I avoided that. The only time I "found a private room" with John was when he wasn't feeling well and I went in to check on him. Other than that, i did happen to notice some other various people sneaking off. I'm not going to say names because i don't want to start anything, and because I personally don't care. Fact of the matter is, everyone had a good time at the party, and that's what really matters. I tried to make it fun for everyone and I tried to make it so that everyone could socialize and feel comfortable around everyone else. Overall, I think the party was a great success and I sincerely hope that everyone had a good time. I would also like to thank everyone that helped out, whether your contribution had been bringing food or just helping set up. There's no way I could have done everything alone, and I thank you all for pitching in and helping to throw Ashley and Emily this party.

Well, that's it for now. It always has been. Things are never easy and nothing ever goes my way. I'm used to that. It's been that way for as long as I can remember. Ever since the day I came here with my family, I've been invisible. No one sees me for who I am, and they probably don't care to know really. I am shattered. My hands bleed and I don't know why. My life is a sad tale, one with no definite beginning or end. Since that's the way of it, it's going to take me a bit to locate a good starting point. So, just bear with me...

I was born, I grew up, and one day I will die. That day, however, is not today. Today I've risen into a new world, one which I'm very unfamiliar with. Nothing is as it was. Even the sky has changed. The home I'd lived in all my life is no more. I feel lost, wandering through a dream-like world that shouldn't exist. I knew that no such place could ever be, and yet it was. I lived in it, and though I knew of other worlds I would never again see them.

Just Bite Me...

There, I updated! So, I'm going to start a rather interesting set of posts. Every now and then for the next month or so I'm going to post my "Personal Journal Entries" from my latest journals (the ones that aren't buried somewhere). I'll included the original date and times when they were first written in the post. For those of you who are frequent visitors to my blog or for those that know me in RL this may help you to learn a few new things about me or to see and understand some of the things I've been through the past year or so.

So, mew. Usually when I'm depressed that's the way of things, but I haven't been down that far in quite sometime. Thing have been going rather well lately for a change. I've been spending a lot of time hanging out with my boyfriend, John, and catching up with my friends as well. This past Friday was Suzi's B-day party, which was held at Ryan's house. It was cool. We ate yummy food, played cool games, and just got to talk and catch up. I took some nice pics of everyone too, which I'll try to post later this week. Mew. So, that was all for this weekend really. I worked tonight...no fun, but I did come home and play some Final Fantasy XI with John. Well, it was more like we played for a few minutes, got distracted and fooled around, and then played some more. Mmmm...fun, fun.
As for tomorrow, I'm hoping my Dad holds to what he said about getting fireworks because I'm really looking forward to it, and I invited most everyone. I don't know if everyone will attend, but I'm hoping they'll at least try. :0 Mmm, I love John. Sorry, random comments. Anyway, it's tired and I'm late so I should probably go. Mew...but first!

I got up today just like I have every other day in the past, waking up to the sound of the waves crashing against the rocks. I hated that place. I always had. For years, I'd tried to get out, to leave that world behind, but something held me there. Every night he was there, standing half hidden in shadow by the gate to our estate. I did not know him, but something told me that someday I would. Someday I would know all too well who he was and what he wanted with me...

The "For Real" Post

Also, actually check out the other team blog, Nightmare in Dreamland, since there was an actual post made last night at the same time that I did my final posting on the matter. First off, I do not hate or dislike anyone. If someone is not particularly on my "best-side" I am still at least civil to them. Hannah is a good example of this. She dislikes me apparently because she felt that I was using her. I think that's like Susan said, at some point in time we ALL used each other for one purpose or another. I never purposely used Hannah though, and if I hurt her I didn't mean to. As for Ashley, I was puzzled for a long time about what had happened between us. We were like the best of friends, and then after I graduated I like never heard from her again. She kept in touch with everyone else, everyone except for me. That hurt me, a lot. I got over it, though, just like I got over the fact that Hannah never spoke to me again either. I just let it go. I was also very hurt when Susan told me recently (right around the time of Ashley's Graduation party) that Ashley had given Suzi the extra tickets and told her to give one to Hannah and Ryan. I was excluded from that, like I'd been excluded from previous things. However, this last one hurt me a lot. And then when I asked Ashley about she said that she didn't specify who to give the tickets to. Either way, I was hurt a lot by this. So, hurt even that I left the graduation party early. But of course, I could tell where I wasn't wanted. I especially liked the "wicked witch" comment that I'm sure I wasn't supposed to hear. Oh, and once again, I've let all this go. A lot of it I've never even mentioned before. I didn't want to bring up more drama, but since we're doing this now... Also, know this, Ashley, if you read this at all that I'm not mad and never really was. I was just hurt, and it took a lot for me to even invite you and Triston over here after all that, but I thought it might be ok, I thought it was time for a change. I invited you guys over because I did want to mend things. Ok, now on to Susan. I've also never really had anything against you. Yes, the gossiping did get on my nerves, but I let a lot of it slide. There were also plenty of times that you pissed me off and I could have really gotten even by gossiping in return about you, but I didn't. I've also never gone behind your back and told someone something just to get you in trouble. I've had plenty of opportunities, but I haven't taken them. Usually whenever something got started, Justin and i would always be the first ones asked. 99% of the time I lied, and the other 1% I told the "partial truth." Enough to be convincing, but not enough to convict anyone. Also, yes, I did feel used in the past, but I haven't felt that way recently. So, the comment made to me by Greg earlier tonight was very unnecessary and not appreciated. Yes, I did make the remark about "being used" to Ryan earlier today, but apparently when he gave you the update he didn't quite make that part clear. It was in the past. Also, I did not have a problem with you and Greg hanging out here those few times recently that we've had get-togethers. If I'd been opposed to it, I wouldn't have invited either one of you. Hrm, Ryan's turn. Ok, Ryan, what can I say. There's really not anything to be mad or upset about that concerns you right now. It's just that damn "back-burner" thing again. And it's like this. It's not right to even think that I'm putting you and Susan on the back-burner by choosing to hang out with Justin over you two. It's not right because you and Susan often choose to hang out with Hannah and Ashley over me, leaving me on the back-burner. That was my only problem with Susan's earlier post, and somehow it's turned into this. It did, however, give everyone the needed chance to vent. Ranting and Raving is always fun. Blessed Be & Goodnight!

Uneventful, and then NOT...

Ah, drama, drama, and more drama. It seems that whenever things finally get worked out, more shit gets dredged up. It always goes down the same way, too. It's a team blog by some friends of mine, and I find it all very amusing. Anyways, I don't let the drama bother me anymorre, but everyone must read this blog: Nightmare In Dreamland. Do I care? Um, no. That's what being lazy is all about. I sit around all day, never getting anything done, and it doesn't bother me in the least. I've grown so accustomed to this existence that when it comes time for me to do actual work it takes twice the usual effort. Meh. I care now. I'm sick of it. Looking back through all my old draft-books today, I realized that there were so many good projects that I'd left unfinished. So, today I'm setting new goals for myself that I WILL meet. Those goals are as follows:

1: Complete Chapter One of my fic (20 pages or more) by no later than July 1st
2: Re-read the first Harry Potter book
3: Um, clean the computer room
4: Finish the 2nd re-write of The Gates to Vaelyn Part 2 and post
5: Look for a new job

Hopefully, I'll be able to meet the majority of these goals if not all of them. Meh, well, I guess only time will tell. For now, good bye and Blessed Be!

Skull-Crushing Boredom & Other Equally Fun Stuff

Yep, boredom is a real killer. Ok, at midnight I played (and beat) Super Mario Bros 3. I even beat my old record without using a single whistle. After that I got into my obsessive-compulsive state and started organizing things (starting with my music files). Well, I finished going through the majority of my folders...so I guess I did get some stuff accomplished tonight. I also took the time to re-write and finish the intro for my series. You can now read The Gates To Vaelyn Pt. 1, which is currently posted on my latest blog experiment, The Nexus Core 29. So, be sure to go check it out...And post comments! I've also somewhat started on part 2, which I'll hopefully have done by the end of the week. Anyways...the body is gonna make me go do that sleep thing now. Meh. Good night, world! It was a bit under-developed for my taste with too much slowdown and not enough action to really keep you interested for very long. It was a two-hour bore (though not nearly as bad as Van Helsing), and frankly I've sat through more interesting movies. The story line was also a bit far-fetched. So, if you want a good sci-fi movie (starring none other than Vin Diesel) just sit at home and rent Pitch Black.

Anyway, on to other events. The day was "ok", even the work part couldn't have passed by any slower without going completely in reverse. After work was much better...mostly because of John...but eh, that's a whole other blog entry for the details about how that's going. I can put it simply and say that it's going well. Today was our one month anniversary. It was overall very good. We didn't do anything big and fancy, just went to see the Chronicles of Riddick. We did reschedule our date thingy for this coming Friday night which I have off. So, yippy! But, meh, the brain wants sleep. I think I'll let it have its way...this time. Good night, and Blessed Be!

Chronicles of...Why my life really sucks right now...

Ah, yes, well I did have plans for last night that I'd been looking forward to, but of course, things never seem to go my way. Instead, when I get to work Thursday night, my boss tells me that there have been schedule changes. Urgh! Well, the changes were made on like Wednesday, and of course no one bothered to inform me in advance. Then, they expect me to just forget about my plans and bow down to them. Can you say, urgh?! I was very upset, especially since the ASM tells me that the only way to change anything is to call up Dolittle, our DM. Ok, at that point, I was like, "Hell No!" So, I wound up working last night, on what should have been my night off. Bleh. That meant that last night I was slaving away at work and listening to Ryan bitch constantly instead of getting to go out with John. :( Meh...anyway, John did manage to get our movie tickets changed to a different time. So, hopefully we'll get to go out sometime soon. Well, I'm going now. Til next time, Blessed Be!

Well, that was a fun ride...John killed the deer...

Well, yesterday was a pretty interesting day. We (Myself, Emily, John, and JJ) went swimming and had kind of a cookout thingie at my house. It was nice, except for the cold water...brr. Overall, it was a lot of fun. It would have been even more fun, though, if there had been more people. But, eh, I take what I can get. After swimming we all went back inside where it was warm (tehe) and had burgers (yummy). Then, we all played Super Smash Brothers (two-on-two) and I realized how much I suck at that. :( Finally, after that, we played a game I'm actually semi-good at (Mario-Kart). Mmm...fun, fun. At around 9, I went with John to take Emily and JJ home. It was kind of a long ride, but it gave John and I some time to talk about some things that had been bothering him, which is good. Clearing the water early on is nice. Of course, the downside to all of that was the deer John hit on the way home. Oops. We were on the way back to my house from dropping off Emily and JJ, driving down Old Pinckney Road, when along came a deer. I felt kind of to blame about the whole hitting-the-deer-thing since I'd been talking to John when the deer ran across the road. It's ok, though, it was a small deer and we really only hit its hip so there wasn't much damage done to the car (just a slightly bent hood). Thankfully, that was the worst of it.

Well, I have to go to work soon... Til next time, Blessed Be!

The Cat Didn't Die From Curiosity

Mew...it died from boredom. But, anyway...I had a long day of doing a whole lot of nothing. I got up, rambled around for a while, and then came home and started back working on the business directory for downtown York that I've been helping Frank with. Bleh, nothing exciting really. There's not much I can do to entertain myself while John's at work, but it does give me a chance to get some work done, which I probably wouldn't get done otherwise. I did get my new blog finished this evening, though, so that's a plus. The posts I mentioned earlier on (the ones containing parts of my series) will be posted on this new blog, Nexus Core 29. At least this way I won't be getting my regular posts mixed in with my series as it progresses. This way will be much easier on me, the writer, and on you, the readers, as well. It was an excellent movie, but it could have been much better if it had followed the book more closely. There were many key points that the movie didn't cover that I felt it should have. Meh, but anyways, it was still a good movie and EVERYONE should go see it!

Ah, anyway, on to what's new. My next stream of posts are going to contain a different type of content. Since I rediscovered inspiration and my love for writing, I'm going back to it. I'm starting over on the series I've been developing for almost 4 years now. Over the next week or so I'm going to be posting a brief side-story that goes along with the series. Granted, it may not be as good as the series I'll be working on, I'd still like to see some feedback from those of you that read my blog. Comments, whether they be positive or negative will be greatly appreciated. I have to actually get sleep tonight since I have to be ready to go to Greenville at 8 am. It's cool, though, since I'll get to see my favorite cousin, Allison, graduate. Woo-hoo! Then, Friday we all get to go to Ashley's graduation party...so, I've got a busy few days ahead of me. Whew. Well, after Ashley's party I get to head off with John, JJ, and Emily to see the new Harry Potter movie. Yippy! I'm so excited. This evening, after I get back from Greenville, John and I are going to sit down to re-watch the first two to kind of refresh our memory before gonig to see the third one.

Ah, but back to the past. The past week has gone by so fast. With Dustin and John both here, we always had something to do. Dustin quickly became an FF XI addict, so we all played a lot of that while he was home visiting. We also had those late night swims and drives to York for food and caffeine. Fun, fun. I'm going to miss Dustin. He really needs to move back here. I think he wants to, but he says he needs to work things out up in VA before he can even think about moving down here permanently. Meh. But, anyway, the brain is sleepy. I must go...will try to update again soon. Til then, Blessed Be!

The Blog Contagion

Tehe...Dustin has a blog! I'm so happy. Well, kinda unhappy right now really because Dustin and I slept a lot longer than we wanted to. That's mostly due to the two of us staying up all night. Well, I needed to stay up til 5:30 anyway since John spent the night here last night and I served as his alarm clock, and Dustin just kinda stayed up with me. We sat around in the computer room and I turned the page I'd been coding into his blog template. Tehe...So, now Dustin will have his very own blog. Of course, at some point while working on his blog last night I got frustrated and irritated with things not working the way they should've been. At that point, I just looked over at Dustin and said, "It's hot. Let's go swimming," and then he's like, "Ok." So, at about 3 am we went swimming. All I have to say about that is, very cold and very wet.

Meh...So, anyway, Dustin and I have only been up for about an hour now. I didn't even bother to get up til after Joe called from work wanting to know if I could come in tonight. I felt bad because I had to tell him no, especially with Chris being sick and all. It was unfortunate, but I'm really looking forward to going out with all my friends tonight. So, yeah, that's that. Anyways, I should probably get going. My stomach is so hungry its gnawing on my liver and I need to start getting ready soon anyway since we're going out later. Til next time, Blessed Be!

Happy Thoughts and Fuzzy Bunnies

Ok, I would have updated my blog sooner, but Dustin (my friend from VA) has been here since Tuesday. So, yeah, and also Susan came over yesterday and we all hung out for awhile. It was kinda a good bit of the "new gang" I guess you could say. It was myself, Dustin, Greg, John, and Susan. We mostly just hung out and talked, caught up on what each of us had been up to recently. We also swam for a bit til the biting cold water got on our nerves. After that there were the fun multiplayer GameCube games...tehe. John and I won more often than not. :) Overall it was a pretty good day and night.

As for today, Dustin and John and I just played some FFXI and went to Pineville. Meh, everyone got something but me, and I was sad, but I'll live. Tomorrow should be cool as well. The Day After Tomorrow is coming out in theaters and we're all going to see it. I'm so happy! First off, high school is over. That's one thing I'm very happy about. It's not that high school was such a horrible thing. I actually have quite a few good memories from high school. I just enjoy being away from high school and having more of a variety of friends in my life now. It's like the old high school gang which I see as being comprised primarily of myself, Justin, Ryan, Susan, Ashley, Hannah, and Emily, was a great group. As posted in a previous post, I DO refer to Ryan and Susan as more of enemies, but that isn't quite accurate now that I think about it. I mean, as I was just saying to Ryan, we've all made mistakes and at one time or another we've all ratted out someone else to cover our own asses. That's just the typical "high school" way out of trouble, and not a single member of the "old gang" can deny that at some point they have lied, spread gossip, or ratted someone out. The thing is, now we're out of high school and we all need to move away from that. We've all grown and changed in the past year, but some of us still don't act like it at times. There are those times when we all fall back into acting like we once did and trying to get other people into trouble or lie to get ourselves out of it. That's not all though...every one of us has made a lot of changes, we've all gone down separate paths, and we need to respect that paths that our friends have chosen even if we do not agree with them.

Also, on another note--> Today was quite hectic at work. Things were very busy from the time I walked in the door right down to close. I'm happy, though, since tomorrow is the last day I work for a while. After getting off work tomorrow I don't have to go back til Saturday. Of course, Dustin has to go to court tomorrow for the "burning-his-work-shirt incident." I hope they let him off easy because he's suppose to be driving down to visit on Tuesday and I plan to meet up with him at Concord Mills and do some shopping. Mmm...shopping is yummy. Anyways, I must go. Blessed Be!

Mmm...comments.

Ok, I enabled comments on my blog. I just got home not too long ago from hanging out at John's and playing FFXI and blogging (and seeing Shrek 2 for the second time). Now, I'm sitting here at my PC talking to Chase (at least I think its Chase) online, and wondering where the day went, actually the week. The week actually passed very quickly, much quicker than normal it seemed. I talked to Dustin several times this week which was very nice. I'm still trying to convince him to move back to SC, but he's coming home to visit this coming Tuesday so for now I'm happy with that. Yay! A whole week with Dustin...it's gonna be great. Now, if only I could go 3 days without pissing off the guardians he'll be able to stay here. Mmm...long nights of FFXI lay ahead.

Oh yeah! Also, I'm going to try to stay as current with my blog as possible from now on. I am, however, working on a project that may eventually replace my blog, so that will be taking up a bit of the time that I would normally use to post. I'll try to post at least once every night, or several times a week at least if I can't pull off posting every night. Meh...just stick with me. Right now, I'm sleepy and rambling, though, so I should go catch some z's soon. Til next time, Blessed Be!

Betrayal at its finest...

Ok...due to some recent posts by my former high school gang (and, yes, I did say "Former"), I felt compelled to put in my own little piece. Well, little piece isn't really quite accurate. I could probably write a whole book on all the sh*t that's gone down since high school ended, and stuff that happened even before that. It's true, in high school I had two true friends. They were only those two who stuck by me. The others befriended me only because they sought advantages through knowing me.

I kept them close because as they say its good to keep your friends close, but your enemies closer. Susan and Ryan became my "enemies" long ago, ratting me out for everything I did wrong whenever they could. I accepted that betrayal and moved on. I find it amusing to hear comments I make to them come back full circle. It's quite amusing...like playing telephone. I blab about some random thing that I know I'd get in trouble for if my guardians found out to either Susan or Ryan then I merely sit back and wait. Depending on which one I tell first, my remark will change before coming back around to me. I've tested my theory regarding their chain of spreading gossip, and now I'm quite familiar with how it works. If I tell Ryan, he goes back to Susan and tells her, then she goes to her loverboy Greg, who then tells Patty, and then finally she calls up my Dad to tell him about all the bad things I've done or am going to do. If I tell Susan first then the chain is pretty much the same if you remove Ryan from the first part. In this second scenario, the "juicy" tidbit of information still reaches Ryan's ears, because God forbid...excluding Ryan from info about someone else's personal life would be a sin.

Anyway ~~> I seem to have gotten a little sidetracked there. The overall point that needs to be made here is this: We've all made mistakes. At one time we were all immature high school students. The only difference now is that two of our old group (Justin and I), grew up and stopped gossiping and spreading rumors while the rest remain those same "whinny high school students." Hey guys, grow up and get lives of your own! And, please, stay out of ours...

Well, that's all I really feel like saying right now. I'll post more later. Good night world, and Blessed Be!

Battlefield N-E-X-U-S...

Ok, still stuck at K-8 and making no progress as far as claiming the field goes. I was sick most of the day and work was a drag. We did, however, finally get our prizes from the Mad Catz VOM month. So, I wound up getting a 2nd copy of FF Crystal Chronicles and I got Tommy a copy of the new Splinter Cell game. After work I went over to Chase's house with Tommy and watched them play video games. It was all right...would have been more fun if I could have done it without the headache. :/ Now I'm home playing games and writing style sheets at the same time. Of course staring at lines of text is making my headache worse so I'll be stopping that soon. Well, I should probably get going and get some sleep. Happy Easter! And Blessed Be!!!

Lost in transit...

Ah, well my life is all but routine. I spent most of the night playing Final Fantasy XI, attempting to level up my characters and make at least a little bit of money. I don't really feel that after almost six hours of play that I accomplished either of those goals. I'm still only one level up from what I was yesterday and I'm still too poor to afford the gear I want. Oh well, maybe it'll happen tomorrow. For now, though, I must retire. I have plans to hang out with Tommy later today and before that I really need sleep. So, with that I said I will now depart. Well, at least I think it is...my clock is still funky. I don't think it likes this whole time change thingy. Anyway I guess since I didn't update all weekend, I should give a few details. I spent most of the weekend hanging out with Tommy. It was a lot of fun, and I enjoyed all the time I spent with him. We spent most of our time together watching movies and just hanging out. There were times when it seemed like I was boring him, like I wasn't interesting enough, but I guess that's just me being negative again. I'm usually too negative. Maybe that's my problem, maybe that's why I keep driving people away. *Note to self - Must work on being more positive*

Ah, anyway I'm feeling much better today, still glowing from the great weekend I guess. I'm really hoping this week goes well - it being spring break for us tech people and all. Emily comes back into town on Wednesday and that will be cool. I really need to hang out with her and tell her all the good news! Well, I must go...off to the dreamland where I will count the sheepies. Will update again tomorrow...Blessed Be!

Where are you, and who am I?

Stupid, complaining, gripping customers! Sometimes I really hate my job, but that's beside the point. It is officially my day off! I'm so excited...I should probably chill out and sleep, but I really don't feel like it right now. I have plans to hang out with Tommy once again later today, and that will be great fun. Ah, but enough about future plans...I must talk about what has already come to pass.

Work earlier was no fun. The night was filled with loads of unpleasant shoppers that came and went, buying nothing. I think they were just there to make mine and Ryan's night a living hell. As if things weren't already going bad! We still have several boxes in the stock room that we must go through, and we didn't even get time to take them out and work on them tonight. In addition to the horrible 3 hrs on the clock, we didn't actually leave the store til around 10:30ish, almost a full hour late!

I didn't get home til after 11, so I only got to talk to Tommy for a bit. Then it was on to chatting online, and killing time tinkering with the FF XI site. Erik messaged me (having trouble with his blog), so I spent close to 2 hrs modifying his old template. It looks much better now so be sure to check it out: Erik's New Blog I should just give up on all my other possible careers and stick with web work. In the past few days (just since having a blog) I've learned all kinds of new things; easier ways to work with layers, new ways to make styles, etc, etc. It's all pretty fun actually, and I've been so wrapped up in that tonight that I will not be posting any code with this entry. I will try to get another piece tomorrow. Also, for those of you modders who recognize the code, feel free to borrow it for use in your own creations. Happy modding!

Well, I'm beginning to get sleepy and tomorrow is a big day so I really need rest. I will try to post again later today or possibly tonight. Til then, blessed be!

It's Too Freakin' Early For This...

Geez...Thursdays suck...did I mention that?! Thursdays mean I get up, sit around or do some other equally boring thing til about 4:30, and then I get ready to go slave away the remainder of the day behind the counter at EB Games. Isn't life just grand?! I don't know if I'll update again later since not a lot has happened today, so I'll post the day's code now. I came across a wandering peasant near the temple and attempted to speak to him. He was dirty and ragged and I saw no harm in trying to reach out to him. A new day has come and gone, and so is the way of things. So, with that said, on with the writing and the telling of the day's events. As I recall, it goes a bit something like this...

short done

if (done == 1)
return
endif

if ( OnActivate == 1 )

if ( GetItemCount Helvete_Temple_Key < 1 )
PlaySound "LockedDoor"
MessageBox, "You may not enter without the proper authorization, or a key."
else
set done to 1
Activate
MessageBox, "You now have access to the inner sanctum."
endif

endif

Now, with that out of the way we can proceed. Stored deep inside this sacred place is the story of a hero, an adventurer, who risked everything to experience life at its fullest. Well, that's not me. It'd be nice if real life is that grand, but sometimes it's just not. I don't mean to sound as if I believe that there's no enjoyment in life. I'd be lying if I said that. Life is an adventure, but you don't really need to take such great risks to enjoy it. Sometimes its the simple things that make your life just seem more complete, more worth living.

Today was all about the "simple things" that really make you appreciate and adore your time in this world. I spent the best part of my day with Tommy, the one mentioned in my previous entry. Ah...bliss. This afternoon I accompanied him to his friend's house where he was going to help fix his friend's computer. That kinda turned out to be a bust, so instead they sat around playing Xbox games while I watched. Sound boring? That's what Tommy asked me, "Are we boring you?" Hmm...had I answered with what I had really been thinking I probably would've regretted it later. (I'm not so open with my feelings just yet.) I could never be bored with him I don't think. We could be sitting in the middle of an empty room staring at the bare walls and I would be happy and content. Just spending time with him is wonderful, and it doesn't really matter what we're doing. It's the closeness to him that makes it worth it. :-)

Let's see...also today there was work I did this morning. Not particularly important, but just thought I'd mention it all. I scrapped the work that had been done on the newer mod Symphony's Grand Bazaar, and started over from scratch. Well, almost scratch...I'm still using the pre-existing chunk of land that Riley and I raised when we first started. For the most part, though, everything else is being completely redone. I also worked a bit on the crafting section of the FF XI site, and I'm happy to say that the Weaver's guild recipes and also the Smithing guild recipe lists are near completion. Yippy! Progress is fun! And speaking of progress, I need to get back to work! Good night, and blessed be!

Being A Newb Is Always Fun

Ok...I guess you could say I'm a new "Blogger," but these days everyone's doing it so I figured I'd give it a shot. I will, of course, be presenting the story of my life in my own little twisted way, so if I get sidetracked sometime just bare with me. Ah...{takes deep breath}...here goes:

if ( OnDeath == 1 )
if ( GetJournalIndex "WorldOfHelvete" < 1 )
Journal WorldOfHelvete 01
endif
endif

--> Today there was no sun, but the dreariness of the day didn't make me sad. I got up, drove to McConnells to pick up my friend, and then came home and napped. I had some really strange dreams, most of which I don't really remember. Of course, this whole week has felt kinda like a dream...I guess it's just because it's hard to believe that what I'm experiencing is real. It all has to do with this guy. Now, I know you're all thinking this is nothing special, but it is...it really is. All throughout life I've had relationships, some having been much better than others, but I have never met someone and had everything just "click" you know... This guy...hmmm, shall we call him Tommy...is awesome. He and I share a lot of the same interests, he's easy to talk to, and definitely a lot of fun to be around. I have so much fun spending time with him that sometime I really don't want to leave, and it kinda sucks. I've seen him a lot this week, and the time we've spent together has been really great, and I'm actually going to see him again tomorrow. I really hope things go well. I guess there will be more updates in the next entry. Until then...Good night and Blessed Be!
